The instant report with the results of the Mistral Hackathon is available

Together with the Milan Polytechnic and the Milan Polytechnic Foundation, a work day was organized in Milan, at the “Gaudenzio Fantoli” Laboratory – DICA Department of the Milan Polytechnic, to gather the needs of potential users of the portal in order to design and implement the visualization and display methods of datasets and metadata, adapting them to the user’s needs.

The stakeholders involved, selected among the potential future users of the platform, have been divided into nine thematic tables: Tourism, recreational and sports activities, Insurance, Media, University and research, private Providers of weather forecasts, Energy production and transmission sector, Agriculture sector , Transport sector, local administrations and public authorities.

At each table the participants confronted each other and expressed their needs and desires, with the dual aim of raising awareness of the potential of the meteorological sector and creating a community to verify the functionality of the portal.

Subjects with heterogeneous backgrounds were invited to participate in the tables: both technical figures, who can directly use the data and meteorological information of the portal, both representative of a category of users in the sector to which they belong or, again, individual relevant users.
